25th Anniversary Gala of US Embassy in Azerbaijan

Gabrielle and her trio will be headlining the 25th Anniversary Gala of diplomatic relations between the US and Azerbaijan. Gabrielle will be performing classic American Jazz standards and collaborating with renowned Azeri artists on traditional Azerbaijani music. 

Gabrielle previously performed and taught in Baku, the capital city of Azerbaijan as part of her American Music Abroad tour in 2015. She looks forward to returning to Baku and taking part in programming in other cities. Follow her blog to hear about what will surely be an incredible experience!

New Album Release Concert at SubCulture!

Join Gabrielle as she celebrates the release of her forthcoming CD "Dream Ago" on December 13th at Subculture, in NYC's beautiful NoHo neighborhood. 

Backed by her long-time trio of Art Hirahara on piano, Pat O'Leary on bass and Eric Halvorson on drums, Gabrielle will premiere tracks from the album- most of them new original compositions along with reimagined jazz standards. Special guests for the evening include two-time Grammy winning saxophonist, Scott Robinson, the album's producer, David Cook (musical director for Taylor Swift, Billy Porter, Marianne Faithful and Jennifer Hudson, among others) and guest vocalist Jorell Williams.

Will Friedwald's "70 Years of Manhattan Tower"

On Thursday, December 8th, the Wall Street Journal's Will Friedwald will host an evening celebrating the 70th anniversary of composer/conductor Gordon Jenkin's "Manhattan Tower"- an album that Friedwald describes as having "invented the concept album".

The show is part of the Winter Rhythms Series at Urban Stages and will combine live performances along with rare & classic video clips. 2016 is the 70th anniversary of the original album from 1946, AND the 60th anniversary of the “complete” hi-fi edition of the work (as well as the NBC TV production).

Songwriter's Showcase at the Kennedy Center's Millenium Stage

Gabrielle is THRILLED to be performing the work of composer/lyricist Sean Hartley at The Kennedy Center's Millennium Stage 5-night series featuring the works of various ASCAP composers. Gabrielle has worked extensively with Sean at NYC's Kaufman Center performing in concerts for children and adults that highlight the best of the Great American Songbook. In addition to writing songs for television and film, Sean Hartley received a Drama Desk nomination in 2003 for his off-broadway show "Cupid and Psyche". This concert will feature songs from that production as well as many other works Sean has written on his own and with various collaborators.
