In the fall of 2017 Gabrielle had the great pleasure of sitting down for an interview with Michael Bourne on his long-running show Singers Unlimited on WBGO. Recorded live at WBGO's Newark studio, the pair discussed her 2017 release, "Dream Ago", her upcoming Willie Nelson project, the inspiration behind her work and much more. Concert set for Gabrielle's new release "Dream Ago" at NYC's Iridium Jazz Club
Gabrielle will be celebrating her January 2017 release "Dream Ago" on Tuesday, December 13th at the Iridium in Manhattan. The concert will premiere the album's new original compositions and fresh arrangements of classic jazz standards. Backed by her long-time trio of pianist Art Hirahara, bassist Pat O'Leary and drummer Eric Halvorson the group will be joined by special guests, multi-reed player Scott Robinson and pianist David Cook, who is also the album's producer. Gabrielle to work with renowned jazz pianist Fred Hersch
Gabrielle is thrilled to be workshopping and performing the world premier of Fred Hersch's new song cycle, Rooms of Light. With lyrics by poet Mary-Jo Salter, the piece explores the theme of photography and its place in our lives from the past to the present- from Civil War era family portraits to the ubiquitous presence of iPhones in today's culture. Performances will take place in October at the Kasser Theater at Montclair State University.

Gabrielle selected for US State Department's 2015/2016 American Music Abroad Program
Gabrielle and her ensemble, pianist Art Hirahara, bassist Pat O'Leary and drummer Eric Halvorson, are THRILLED to have been chosen for the prestigious American Music Abroad Program for their 2015/2016 season. More details to come soon- a few words explaining the program below...
"The American Music Abroad program is designed to communicate America’s rich musical contributions to the global music scene as it fosters cross-cultural communication and people-to-people connection to global audiences. In cooperation with the U.S. Department of State, American Voices will arrange a series of month-long, multi-country cultural exchange programs including public concerts, interactive performances with local traditional musicians, lecture demonstrations, workshops, jam sessions and media interviews and performances. These tours will focus on younger and underserved audiences in over 40 countries around the world with little or no access to live American musical performances. American Music Abroad ensembles are currently expected to travel in Africa, Asia, the Middle East, Central and South America and Eastern Europe.”

Gabrielle Stravelli awarded 2015 Bistro Award for Jazz Vocalist
Gabrielle is thrilled to receive the 2015 Bistro Award for Jazz Vocalist, awarded by critics in the jazz and cabaret communities. This year's winners included Carol Fredette, Lillias White and pianist Jon Weber among others, as well as performances by past Bistro winners, including vocalist Dee Dee Brodgewater. This is Stravelli's second Bistro Award, having received the Ira Eaker Special Achievement Award forPerformer on the Rise in 2008.
